Solid silver, fully etched blade by Rose/Meer Philadelphia. Blade presented to "Frank Toscan Midshipman Reindeer, captured 28th June 1812." This is a very rare sword, as all Congressional Presentations are!!!
Ordered in 1779 from Solingen, by the State of Virginia the blade is inscribed "Virginia Grenadeer, Victory or Death" with military motifs. A rare Virginia sword!
